Phoenix Controls Valve Upgrade Kit Session 2
Thursday, September 14, 2023
12:00 PM -01:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time
1 hour
This webinar will cover the upgrade program at Phoenix Controls. While there are several products in our portfolio that have been installed and could be considered upgrade targets, the bulk of upgrade opportunity comes from our legacy of installed venturi valves -- we will cover all upgrades but will focus heavily on the installed base of Phoenix Controls venturi valves. As part of this webinar, each partner will receive a listing of upgrade opportunities in their territory and a demonstration video of an actual valve upgrade as done by our own Product Support Specialists.
Speakers:
Ryan Wohlfarth is the Regional General Manager for the northeast US for Phoenix Controls. He completed his MBA at Georgia Southwestern State University and has over 15 years of experience in the HVAC industry. After undergrad, Ryan entered the industry as a manufacturer’s representative for a modular firetube boiler line in western Pennsylvania and West Virginia. After several years, Ryan accepted a job in Los Angeles, California working for Rite Engineering and Manufacturing as a National Sales Engineer. Ryan then moved to San Diego, CA, where he met his wife, Samantha, and ultimately decided to move back to Pittsburgh to start a family. Ryan has been with Phoenix Controls for 16 months and sits on the ASHRAE TC9.11 technical committee regarding Clean Spaces while also being a member for ASHE and ISPE.
Jim Robichaud joined Phoenix Controls in 1996 and is currently a Senior Appl/Sys Sales Engineer. He has held several titles within Phoenix Controls including Applications Engineer, Training Manager, and Product Manager. With a strong interest in IAQ (Indoor Air Quality), Jim left Phoenix in 2010 to join Aircuity, a small company founded by the same Gordon Sharp who founded Phoenix Controls many years earlier. Luckily, Jim returned to Phoenix in 2016 and continues to be involved with international sales and coordinating on-site factory visits and demonstrations for customers.
Originally, Jim pursued a career in music. He studied classical guitar before enrolling in Berklee College of Music in Boston where he studied jazz and contemporary music.
Born and bred in Massachusetts, Kevin has his Bachelor or Science in Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Massachusetts – Lowell. He would also say he has his “Masters” degree in Phoenix Controls part numbers. For the past 25 years, Kevin has provided technical applications support to our business partners and his experience with the legacy valves helps them upgrade older projects to current platforms.
Rich logged 21 years as a Phoenix Controls field service engineer before taking the position of product support engineer that he has held for 12 years.
In addition to his product support work, Rich also provides assistance to our technical training programs and aids in the development of our technical documentation, such as installation guides and played a major role in developing our valve upgrade kit installation guides. Life started for Rich in Massachusetts, his field service experience took him literally full circle around the globe, then back to where he currently resides in Massachusetts where he feels there is no place like home.
