UTC Climate, Controls & Security Completes Acquisition of S2 Security and Launches LenelS2, a Leader in Access Control Systems

UTC Climate, Controls & Security has completed its acquisition of S2 Security, which will be combined with Lenel, to create LenelS2, a global leader in advanced access control systems and services. Through the collective strengths of both companies, LenelS2 will provide scalable, cutting-edge customer solutions in the access control and security management systems industry, serving global enterprises to small- and mid-sized companies. The business is part of UTC Climate, Controls & Security, a leading provider of fire safety, security, building automation, heating, ventilating, air conditioning (HVAC) and refrigeration systems, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX).

Lenel President Jeff Stanek will lead the new organization and S2 Security Founder and CEO John Moss will serve as Chief Product Officer. The broader leadership team will consist of key members from each company, ensuring that the combined company will bring together the best of both worlds in serving its customers.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
