Honeywell UOP is pleased to share the position paper on including hydrogen carrier technologies in existing and future public funding schemes. The paper emphasises the importance of integrating hydrogen carrier technologies (LOHC, LIHC, SHC) into funding frameworks to support the global transition to clean energy. Our main points:

• Funding schemes and programmes like H2Global and the European Hydrogen Bank should adopt a technology-neutral stance to foster innovation to accelerate hydrogen market ramp up.
• Such programmes should focus on the import of molecular hydrogen, allowing the tender applicants to choose the safest and most economical transport technology for their individual supply chain.
• Hydrogen carriers offer sustainable and safe solutions for hydrogen transport and storage, playing a vital role in meeting the EU's decarbonisation targets.
• Our focus includes Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carriers (LOHCs), Liquid Inorganic Hydrogen Carriers (LIHCs), and Solid Hydrogen Carriers (SHCs), which can utilise existing infrastructure.

Strategic investments and international collaboration in these technologies will accelerate progress and contribute significantly to the ramp-up of a -clean hydrogen economy.
