Tell us about your career path and what led you to this industry or type of role.

“My journey into the oil and gas sector began with early exposure through training with ADNOC, the national oil company of the United Arab Emirates, where I had the chance to visit refinery sites. This experience sparked my deep interest in the industry and its role in the economic development of countries, particularly in the Middle East. When I transitioned to work for Honeywell, I found myself drawn to the dynamic nature of the job, where every day presents new challenges. The need for continuous learning and adaptation keeps the work interesting and fulfilling.”

What advice do you have for someone early in their career who wants to pursue a similar path?

“One of the best lessons I’ve learned is that if you find yourself being the smartest person in the room, it’s time to move on to the next one. Never stop seeking new experiences, whether it’s working across different technologies, industries, or cultures. Confidence in problem-solving and understanding others’ perspectives is key. Always aim to grow your mindset and adapt, especially in fast-paced environments.”

What should people know about the future of technology in the oil and gas industry?

“The future of the oil and gas industry, particularly in technology licensing and innovation, is about collaboration across borders and sectors. Leading teams from diverse backgrounds and nationalities means that no matter someone’s position, when you bring the right technical knowledge and expertise to the table, your words hold weight. As technology advances, those who can harness that expertise, while working well with diverse teams, will shape the future.”
