Day Two of GITEX 2024 has arrived, and Honeywell is making waves with its focus on enhancing productivity across key sectors: retail, transportation and logistics (TLW), distribution centers (DC), and healthcare. The energy continues to build, with a palpable enthusiasm among attendees eager to learn how Honeywell's innovations can revolutionize their industries. 

Customer Engagements

Today we had the pleasure of hosting Martina Strong, Ambassador of the United States to the United Arab Emirates together with Khaled Hashem, President for Honeywell MEA.

We also had the opportunity to host Mr Yaser Younis, Head of Internet Applications Division from Ministry of Endowments, Qatar. Among other customer engagements we had the pleasure of hosting Qualcomm, Qatar Airways, Emirates, SML RFID and Landmark.

Asharq News

Khaled Hashem, President, Honeywell MEA interacted with Asharq News about the important role of AI and automation in driving efficiency and accelerating growth for all different businesses. He also discussed Honeywell’s sustainability projects in the region, highlighting key partnerships with regional governments.

Wired Middle East

George Bou Mitri, VPGM, Honeywell Industrial Automation MENA engaged with Wired Middle East on how AI is evolving the retail sector operations by use of innovative automation.  He also introduced the new products and solutions that Honeywell launched at GITEX 24.

Productivity Solutions for Retail

This morning, Honeywell showcased its retail solutions, emphasizing how technology can enhance customer experiences while streamlining operations. Interactive displays highlighted advanced data capture, barcode printing and inventory management tools that leverage real-time data analytics. 

Retail leaders expressed interest in Honeywell's latest retail game-changing device, the CT37 mobile computer. The CT37 is designed to enable staff to assist customers more effectively, ensuring a seamless shopping experience. Built on the Mobility Edge™ platform and leveraging the latest 5G and Wi-Fi 6E technology, the CT37 is ready to make your frontline associates retail superstars.  

Transforming Transportation and Logistics

Moving into the TLW sector, Honeywell presented solutions aimed at optimizing supply chains. Key discussions focused on automation and tracking technologies that can significantly reduce operational delays. 

Live demonstrations of Honeywell's latest CK67 and CK62 devices allowed booth visitors to understand just how Honeywell is optimizing workflows throughout the TLW environment. The CK67 and CK62 devices are designed to not only improve order fulfillment times but also improve scanning and data capture workflows and reduce costs by eliminating downtime and data entry errors from inaccurate scanning or manual data entry.  

Enhancing Distribution Centers

In the distribution center segment, Honeywell highlighted the importance of automating data collection and analysis for improved workflows throughout the DC environment. Attendees were particularly intrigued by Honeywell Operational Intelligence, a SaaS solution that helps customers use prescriptive data to take smart actions and trigger workflows that solve problems.  

Operational Intelligence is an ideal solution to help DC operations managers to know exactly what’s going on with their deployed devices. Operational Intelligence for example can share real-time health of a device’s battery, and how the device is being used throughout the shift, especially if there is suspected misuse of a given device.  

Looking Ahead to Day Three

As Day two concludes, it’s evident that Honeywell is leading the charge in driving AI influenced productivity improvements across various sectors and industry leaders are eager to see what innovations and insights Honeywell will unveil next.
