CCC Inside™ for Honeywell Experion PKS
Field-proven control applications delivered in Honeywell’s flagship DCS.
Combining CCC and Honeywell Turbomachinery
CCC applications have been created based on CABs within Experion software. Graphics is a set of objects made with native Experion HMI tools. It allows CCC to deploy the solution at any compatible Experion PKS system, and show the turbomachinery screens on the Orion console.
Designed for Experion® PKS
To make CCC solutions easier applied for industrial operations,
we developed CCC Inside for C300 turbomachinery control platform. Antisurge, Performance, Master, Loadsharing, Speed Control and other TMC applications for centrifugal and axial compressors with steam turbines, expander or electric motor drive – all within the C300 controller.
The power of standardization
CCC control applications are configurable, not programmable. The controls can be configured for a specific application from a library of field-proven turbomachinery control algorithms. Each control application has been continuously improved and expanded over the course of 50 years.
CCC Engineering Utilities
CCC Engineering Utilities are designed to overcome DCS limitations with high resolution data and to provide our global project and field service teams with a standard interface for configuration and tuning.
Developed, tested, and supported as a complete system
In the turbomachinery control field, where interactions between control loops occur in a matter of milliseconds, the requirement to design and test the overall solution as an integrated system is paramount. Compressors, turbines, motor drives and auxiliary equipment are tested together with the rest of Process Control System to ensure smooth operation in all operating modes.
Familiar Operator Interfaces
Access to Operator faceplates and Compressor Maps is important to understand the current compressor operation and behavior. Integrating specific Turbomachinery screens with the rest of Operator graphics allows understanding the current situation easier and faster, providing insight into the long-term compressor performance and saving precious time in case of a difficult situation.
CCC Inside for Honeywell Experion PKS
CCC Inside for Honeywell integrates CCC’s advanced turbomachinery control applications directly into Honeywell’s Experion PKS, offering seamless control, enhanced safety, and real-time performance monitoring—all within a single, unified system. This collaboration combines the strengths of two industry leaders to deliver a reliable and efficient solution for complex industrial environments.
CCC’s Valve Exerciser verifies the health of the antisurge valve in less than one minute - without disturbing the process.
Freeze detector calculates the amplitude of the variations in the signal content. If this variation falls below the normally expected values, the system generates an alarm. The initial values are set during commissioning and can be later tweaked by the engineering personnel.
If there’s a deviation between two signals in a dual redundant transmitter pair, the more conservative value is always selected, leading to safer, but often inefficient action from the controller. For example, in the case of dual redundant differential pressure transmitter, if one is showing lower value than the other, the lower reading is usually selected. If that reading falls below the controller setting, it’ll start opening the Antisurge valve.
