How does your job make tomorrow better than today?

As a UX professional, my job is to enable business owners, service owners, project managers to discover stated and unstated needs of customers, constantly innovate to provide usable solutions and craft a holistic experience. I support the Product team to create new digital experiences for growth, improvise existing services, improve user efficiency and increase satisfaction.

What gets you excited about coming to work every day?

I interact with various teams to streamline the end-user experience. The positive impact to users is valued when I help identify a problem, provide a solution and an opportunity to it. It is never mundane and has always something new to learn and to discover.

What would you tell someone considering a UX Design career at Honeywell?

Honeywell is a customer-centric organization and my peers value UX and UX has secured a place in the company’s strategy. UX should never be limited to tactical user interface (UI) and Honeywell believes in in-depth user research. A large UX community with UX leadership is a great place to learn and grow.

What advice do you have for someone who wants to follow in your footsteps?

Often, people come to me for a career shift advice into UX. 20 years ago, I made a conscious decision to pursue Product Design and have never looked back. UX is a fulfilling career and will continue to stay as we humanize technology. Solid design fundamentals and hands-on UX knowledge are essential and should not be limited to theoretical information. UX may appear like a common sense and easy to master, but a good product design requires skills, dedication and experience.
